The University of Winchester is a small university in Winchester, England, a lively city with a rich medieval history located about one hour from London.
The University of Winchester guarantees all international students a room in the university halls of residence, so long as you apply in good time. There are various types of rooms available, the majority of which are on campus and have en suite facilities. You can apply for accommodation once you have accepted your offer of place, you should apply for accommodation as soon as possible to give you the best opportunity of securing a room of your choice. When you apply for accommodation you can select up to three options and you should list them in your order of preference. While there is no guarantee that you will get your first choice, the earlier you apply the better your chance of getting your first choice room.
Students are responsible for their own trans-pacific transportation. Local transportation is also the responsibility of the student. Winchester has excellent transport links including a direct train service to London Waterloo which runs every 20 minutes during peak times. The station is also well-served by trains running to and from Southampton, Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Brighton, the New Forest and the north of England.
