||Koblenz is a great walking city, with many historical sites to be discovered by walking through various neighborhoods;
||Orientation week for exchange students allows you to become familiar with your surroundings and settle in before classes start;
||Can reach surrounding cities such as Cologne, Bonn, and Frankfurt quickly and easily by public transport;
||Mentoring program provides you with a student mentor to help assist you with anything you may need.
The city of Koblenz is located right on the River Moselle and the Rhine River. Both rivers dominate the landscape and give the city its friendly character.
There are three dormitories located near the University that allows you to reach the University on foot or by bus in little time. Once accepted into the program, you will apply for housing; should you need assistance, you are able to contact your student mentor.
Students are responsible for their own trans-pacific transportation. Local transportation is also the responsibility of the student. The German Rail offers a variety of interesting offers that allow you to travel within Germany. More information on the German Rail can we found at www.bahn.de. COURSE(S) & CREDIT
You will choose the courses you would like to attend at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and put together a Learning Agreement. This agreement, together with the AU Course Approval Form (on your international.alfred.edu checklist, will determine which courses you will attend at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. This is for Art and Design majors only.
